6 Wedding Trends to Keep Your Eye on in 2020
Even with the holidays right around the corner, we have our eyes set on the new year. But before we ring in the next decade, we’ve searched every nook and cranny of Pinterest, Instagram and Bridal Blogs to find the biggest wedding trends of 2020...and they’re good, guys. Really, really good.
Intimate weddings
First and foremost: wedding size. We predict that couples are going to choose the more intimate route this upcoming year. With everyone seeing your wedding photos on social media anyhow, do they really need to be in attendance? So keep it small and cozy with just you and your sweethearts closest friends and family.
Long veils
We’re sure your saw this one coming. With the Duchess of Sussex first bringing it to our attention with her 16-foot-long veil in 2018, and Hailey Bieber solidifying the beauty of it at her wedding to Justin Bieber last month, the mile long veil is a classy and easy way to take your wedding day look to the next level. Keep it simple with just tulle, or make a statement with lace and beading.
Cake!
Donuts had their moment. Cupcakes did, too. But now we are back to basics with the timeless (and scrumptious) cake. Need some inspiration? Check out over 100 cake ideas here!
E-vites
This one is sure to split the polls. With sustainability at the forefront of everyones minds these days (and for good reason!), and incredible graphics and designs available, people are opting to email invitations. They’re simple, effortless and are budget friendly. What is this, a Jetson wedding!?
Charcuterie Cocktail Hour
Everyone is into charcuterie spreads these days. Many couples will be creating extra extravagant charcuterie and crudité tables instead of pass around trays at cocktail hour. The bonus? Your guests don’t have to wait for the tray to come around. They can feast whenever they want. It’s cost effective too!
Ethereal Florals
Gone are the days of heavy succulents and bright sunflowers. Next year, florists and brides will be fawning over ethereal and airy florals. Think less greenery, more neutrals and sophisticated floral choices. No bulky table garland either. Stick to collections of bottles with a few dainty flowers.
We can’t wait to see what incredible ideas our talented vendor friends and couples come up with next. One of our favorite aspects of the industry is how creative designs always take the cake. What are your wedding trend predictions for 2020?
